Classification of laying hens:
1, full step type: the upper and lower cages are staggered, usually 2-3 layers. This has the advantage of not requiring a slab at the bottom of the cage or a faecal cleaning system. The structure is simple, and the ventilation and lighting surface of each cage is large. The disadvantages are: large floor space, low feed density, and large equipment investment.
2. Half-step type: The upper and lower cages overlap 1/4-1/2, and an angled hood is installed above the overlapping portion of the cage. The ventilation effect is worse than the full step, but the feed density is high.
Overlap type: The upper and lower layers of the cage overlap. Ordinary cages are 3-4 layers, up to 8 layers, and have high stocking density. The house has high utilization rate and high production efficiency. The disadvantage is that the construction, ventilation and fecal equipment of the chicken house are relatively high, and it is difficult to observe the flock, which is difficult to manage.
3. Single-layer parallel formula: The top network of the cage is at the same level. Although the stocking density is high and the utilization rate of the chicken house is high, there are no cages and lanes, which are difficult to manage and raise.
